4. Scalability and Efficiency: Sidechains are often seen as more scalable than layer 2 solutions since they have no restrictions imposed by the base layer, allowing for higher throughput and lower latency in certain scenarios. However, this advantage may come at the expense of requiring users to trust multiple chains or protocols when interacting with sidechains.
